• Landscaping & Seasonal Maintenance
• Gardening: weeding , mulching, flower beds, plantings, hedge-trimming , tree pruning, watering gardens & container plants
• Snow/Ice Removal and Spring Remediation
• Order firewood and stack if not done on delivery
• Clean gutters and drainpipes
• Check roof for leaks around vents, skylights, chimneys
• Drain outside faucets for winter/turn back on in spring
• Put away hoses in winter, re-attach for summer
• Put away outdoor furniture in fall; clean cushions before storing
• Put out outdoor furniture for spring; hose off and repaint as necessary
• Refurbish outdoor/deck furniture on site or at Redpoint warehouse
• Store outdoor/deck furniture
• Have chimneys cleaned once a year
• Remove air conditioners or put waterproof covers on them for winter
• Put on and take off screens and storms, clean screens and storms before installing
• Check for areas where paint is peeling or caulk is missing and repair as necessary
• Wash exteriors of windows
• Power-wash house, decks, and patios
• Pool and hot tub maintenance
• If house is to be unoccupied for winter, drain pipes and winterize house
• Check house at regular intervals and alert owner if repairs are needed

Interior

• General cleaning:
  • Clean floors: Strip and wax wood and tile floors or clean carpets
  • Wash interior of windows
  • Clean blinds or curtains and reinstall
  • Vacuum and wash sills
  • Clean and polish copper, brass and silver
  • Do ironing
  • Make dry cleaning arrangements
  • Remove old paint, varnishes and solvents or arrange for proper disposal on designated days at county transfer station

• House Check and Maintenance:
  • • Check house at agreed-upon intervals if unoccupied
    • Install, hook up electronics (TV, DVR, stereo, etc.)
    • Change batteries in smoke, CO2 detectors twice a year
    • Change UV light once a year
    • Make sure fire extinguishers are in good working order and inspected if necessary
    • Periodically look at all plumbing inside for leaks and install new washers if necessary
    • Change water filters every 3-6 monthsPeriodically check basement floors and walls for dampness
    • If there is a dehumidifier, empty regularly
    • Have water softeners serviced
    • Twice a year, inspect dryer vent, stove hood and room fans; clean as necessary
    • Have furnace cleaned and filters replaced once a year
    • Set up automatic call system for furnace or boiler
    • Once a year, drain hot water tank, remove sediment from bottom
    • If mail isn’t forwarded or stopped, pick up mail and put in house
    • Water and fertilize indoor plants

• Open house for owners/renters:
  • Turn on/up heat and water
  • Shop for groceries and stock refrigerator
  • Dust, vacuum if necessary
  • Make/change beds
  • Put out clean towels
  • Leave lights on, inside and exterior, if arrival is after dark
  • Lay fires (in season)
  • Make sure dampers are open, chimney balloons removed
  • Bring wood in (in season)
  • Arrange for cable service to start, including getting cable box and hooking it up
  • Do holiday decorating and remove decorations after the holidays
  • Close house after departure
  • Turn off water, drain if necessary
  • Lower thermostats to agreed temperatureClear perishables from refrigerator, wipe out if necessary
  • Strip beds
  • Do laundry (linens) and put away
  • Clean out ashes from fireplace and dispose of safely
  • Close dampers and re-install chimney balloonsEmpty all trash & line trashcans
  • Make sure all lights are off
  • Make sure all doors and windows are locked
  • Turn off breakers if house is to be empty for long periods
  • Arrange for cessation of cable service, unhook and return cable box to provider
  • If mail isn’t forwarded or stopped, pick up mail and put in house
  • Water and fertilize indoor plants
